RCW - Red artillery

More RCW stuff rolls of the painting table. This time for the Reds. It's another field gun. This time I picked up the model from  STP miniatures for a bit more variety. On first inspection it looks like a good match to the Copplestone gun. The crew do seem a little chunkier but fine on their own.

I'm now in the unenviable position of having nothing left to paint for the Russian Civil War. I may just have to make a few more small purchases in the future, in particular some White cavalry and armoured cars / tanks etc.

  1. That's a great job on the gun and crew. Nothing left to paint... sounds like a moment to pop the champagne cork and bask in the temporary glow of a slightly diminished lead mountain.

    1. Cheers Richard, still plenty of other projects in the lead mountain. Just need to pick which one

  2. Nice work on the STP gun and crew - you may remember I also included this piece in my RCW collection - the STP figures certainly are a bit bigger boned than the Copplestone ones (who themselves are pretty chunky!)

    1. Cheers Keith, I do remember and nicely done as well, they are also better value than the Copplestone piece being a couple of quid cheaper
