Piedmont/Savoy part 1

Just a few photos of my current project of a Piedmont / Savoy force for the WSS. I will be adding a Prussian Brigade and some Austrians to this force in the form of Imperials. Just the ticket for fighting Jon's French. The units painted so far are as follows; for the infantry - Guardia, Reding, Torino, Saluzzo, Nizza, Savoia (2 battalions), Chablais, Crocebianca, Monferrato and Schulenburg. For the Horse, Piedmont Reale Cavallerie, Savoia Cavallerie, Dragoni SAR and Dragoni Piedmont. I have also a small battery of 3 light guns. On the painting table I have a second battalion of Guardia.

As the main rules I am using are Beneath Lily Banners this gives me a force of 12 Battalions of infantry and 8 Squadrons of Horse.

I have managed a couple of photos showing the force, apologies for the quality of the photos.

Just a quick post as this site is still work in progress. I've added some links to a couple of websites and blogs that I regularily visit. I will add to these as time goes by. There is also a list of books which I have found invaluable when collecting and painting my armies for the War of Spanish Succesion

Welcome

I decided to write the site as it seems just about everyone else does these days. I intend to post both pictures of games I am playing as well as updates on my latest wargaming projects. At this time currently the War of Spanish Succession. I currently have a Piedmont/Savoy army on the painting table with the intention of adding a brigade of Prussians as well as some Austrians. I've included a couple of Pics of a recent game I played at the club using 'Beneath Lily Banners', an excellent set of rules.
A force of Saxons approaching French and Irish battalions dug in.
The two opposing battle lines square up.
