Quick Quar update

So with the club deciding to put on a 'Quar' game at the Border Reiver show, I was given some impetus to get a few things done. First up for my Fidwog faction I added some lancers to give them some anti-tractor capability. You have to get real close to a tractor to use these. I also added some Fydos which look like a weird cross between cat, dogs and something else. These are actually resin figures from Zombiesmith miniatures.

Mitch also provided me with a second scatter gunner for my Gwynt faction, still awaiting some more sprues to get them up to a full squad.

With thoughts turning to the game I realised we would need markers for wounded and gobsmacked Quar. I'm not too keen on plastic tokens or painting up a bunch of casualties for each faction. It was then that I came across an idea on the Facebook group page, posted by Stew. I shamelessly borrowed his idea and came up with some quick and effective gobsmacked tokens.

These were simply made using spare back packs and blanket rolls, kind of representing a Quar rhyfler dropping his pack and diving for cover. Just added a few tufts to make them blend into the table. I've also come up with the idea of using some splatter tokens, adding them to a base as above painted red. Mitch is going to print a dozen or so off for me.
