More Coftyrans for the 52nd

As I alluded to in my last post, I was planning on re-painting the 1st squad of Coftyrans I had done in a red uniform. So after a game at the club on Thursday I picked them up and got to work. So here they are in their new uniforms to match in with the rest of the regiment.

Re-painted Rhyfler squad

I also picked up a boxed set of the Specialists from Wayland games (got to love a discount). I quickly put together a RCO field gun with crew and a couple of Marksquar. I did differentiate the facings for these, blue for the artillery and green for the snipers. I do plan to create a small scout squad of 5 figures of which the 2 snipers will be part of, come in handy for some scenario driven games.

I've now got the rest of the box built, to give me a second RCO field gun, 3 scouts and 5 trench raiders. The remaining RCO field gun will probably be added to the Gwynt.

As previously mention I got another game at the club, this time against Thom using the Fidwog against the Toulmore. It was hard fought and a bloody affair with honours even at the end. A few photos had no report as I was concentrating on getting rules right.

Toulmore sweeping through the village

Lone scout sent into the woods

The Fidwog have tractors!!

Fidwoggers stealing the supplies

A quick advance on the left

Pesky Fidwog Fydos spring their attack

But are quickly gunned down

First tractor goes BOOM!!

But they have another one

Fidwog rhyflers crossing the stream

Setting up a mortar

That tractor is getting close

Last turn carnage

An enjoyable game, got some ideas for a scenario game using sentries and hidden movement. May give it a run out on Thursday.

  4. nice job! now those dudes can show their snouts in the regiment as they got the right uniform! Good additions as well. And you appear to have a thriving Quar scene. lucky. 😁
I got the Specialist box for Coftyr but I'm unsure what to build with it. I already got an RCO, 3 marksquar, and 5 trench raiders....

    1. Cheers Stew, I'd boost your trench raiders up to 10, I've got a few light infantry Quar done to form a unit around the marksquar for scenario games. You could also add a RCO to your Gwynt

  6. Nice looking game. I particularly like the unusual looking building and the little tanks. I do have to admit that I have zero idea where the whole idea of Quar comes from...ha, ha!

    1. Cheers Mike, they buildings are from the Burrows and Badgers range. Not sure where the whole Quar idea came from, but it's fun and a bit different
