With the game in full flow, I decided to add a couple more french infantry regiments to bring the 1st division of XII Corps. These are the 58th and 79th regiments. The figures are from Lancashire miniatures, part of a test purchase I made. They are slightly chunkier than the Outpost figures I have, but will mix in with the rest of the army.
To complete the Division I just need to add a mounted commander, a mitrailleuse and artillery piece. These are all currently on the painting table. A mix of Essex, Outpost and Lancahsire miniatures
Nice! Lancashire infantry are among my favorites but I prefer the French advancing pose over the marching pose.
ReplyDeleteCheers Jonathan, nice enough figures, may try a different pose on any future purchases
DeleteVery nicely done Neil. I have a mx of all those in my collection too.. plus some others too! How many figures to a unit, or is it done by number of bases?
ReplyDeleteCheers Richard, the units strength is based on the number of bases as the rules are a variant of Fire and Fury
DeleteBeautiful work!

DeleteGreat (and fast!) work, Scotty. Will these new recruits go straight from the painting desk into battle in a few days?
ReplyDeleteCheers Keith, these will be held back for the next game as I'm working on their commander and artillery
