2015 review and future plans

Well as is the norm, it's  time for a review of progress made in 2015. So what did I manage to achieve. Well after a good start on the painting from I seemed to hit a block mid year before I got my mojo back with needing to complete figures for a large Franco prussian game.

My main achievement I feel is finally completing my Bavarian Corps for the FPW. I even added some extra French infantry and a Prussian cavalry division. I would like to further expand my forces thus year by completing a second French corps and a Prussian Infantry division.

For my 15mm Napoleon's,  a few more troops were added at the beginning of the year. However with Darren no longer attending the club I will need to add some more French infantry,  luckily Tom has also committed to adding some French to his collection.

After these 2 periods my painting has focused on 2 skirmish games, lion Rampant and Frost grave. Really enjoyed painting 28mm figures again. I also completed some of my old citadel elves and space orks for more variety.

2015 Painting totals
15mm Artillery - 9
15mm infantry - 408
15mm Mounted - 126
28mm infantry - 321
28mm Mounted - 40

On the club scene we have gone through a difficult patch. With a number of members leaving we struggled with the rent, however due to refurbishment we did a temporary move which now has become permanent. While we lack the ability to leave games laid out over night I have found I enjoy my gaming experience much more.

With visiting Mick and his purpose built games room I got stuck into a campaign for the WSS. 2 games fought so far and look forward to renewing hostilities this year. We also managed some multi player games with a re-fight of the battles of Ramillies and Froscwiller. It also  saw Chris added to this group for future games.

For 2016 I don't  have any firm goals yet. I would like to finish my WSS and FPW collections but after that a bit of a loose end. No doubt something shine will catch my eye.
